COVID-19 Protocols at Hespeler Animal Hospital

April 28th, 2020 Posted in Uncategorized

WE ARE OPEN AND STILL ABLE TO LOOK AFTER YOU AND YOUR PETS.

Bring a charged cell phone and CALL US WHEN YOU ARRIVE IN OUR PARKING LOT  (there is a big sign with our phone number on the front door).

In addition to our already stringent disinfection practices, we have also implemented extra hygiene and safety measures, to keep you and our staff as healthy as possible. We are keeping our front door locked to control traffic, and conducting appointments, food sales and medications “curbside”.   Patients are allowed into the hospital for their appointment, but we’re having clients wait in their car.  We will have you bring your pet into a taped off section of our waiting room.  Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash (as we have always requested, so nothing new about that) and cats must be in a carrier (we have loaners available).  We’ll then have you return to your car and we’ll call with with the details of the appointment.

If you want to reduce your wait time for your pet’s appointment, you can ask us to email you some questions about your pet and answer those electronically.

We will accept emails from existing clients for food orders and medication requests (we usually don’t).   One of our staff members will respond to that email to let you know when to pick up your order. Payment can be made with a credit card or an e-transfer to our email clinic_staff@rogers.com

Please let us know if you are sick with respiratory signs or have had contact with someone known to be infected with the COVID-19 virus. We will figure out a plan to provide veterinary care for your pet in that case, because extra precautions will have to be taken to protect everyone involved.  Finally, thanks for your patience and understanding during these very difficult times.
