Medical Professional with Cat - Early Detection Testing

Why is Early Detection Testing Important for your Pet

Why is Early Detection Testing so Important?

1/ To establish a baseline. What is normal for your pet when it is healthy?  Comparing elevated values to baselines helps us interpret changes better.

2/  To detect diseases early, while they are still easy (and less expensive to treat).  Sometimes we can even treat them with food, rather than with medication! The prognosis when we intervene early is much better than when things are advanced.

3/ To help your pet live a longer and happier life.  Being healthier ensures better quality of life.

4/ To avoid side effects of medications.  Some drugs are contra-indicated in the face of organ disease.
